                <text>DANIELE MANIN (Venezia 1804 – Parigi 1857)&#13;
Patriota veneziano, di formazione repubblicana, fu liberato dalle prigioni austriache nel marzo 1848. Con il dalmata Niccolò Tommaseo fu a capo dell’insurrezione che scacciò gli austriaci da Venezia il 22 marzo 1848 e proclamò la repubblica. Costretto all’esilio, riparò a Parigi, dove visse insegnando italiano. Il busto, facente parte del gruppo dei Padi della Patria,  è opera dello scultore Augusto Benvenuti.&#13;
Augusto Benvenuti (1839 – 1899). Veneziano, apprese prima la tecnica dell'intaglio in legno, si  diede quindi alla scultura. Divenuto famoso, gli furono commissionati parecchi monumenti per paesi e cittadine venete. La sua statua di Berta che fila (già nella Villa Rossi a Schio) fu esposta con successo a Vìenna nel 1888.&#13;
&#13;
I dodici busti marmorei  erano collocati nell’androne-corridoio dell’asilo “Rossi”, secondo un programma espositivo caro ai princìpi di Alessandro Rossi, che identifica i modelli morali da seguire per i bambini ospitati nell’asilo: al centro la famiglia reale dei Savoia, a destra gli educatori e i rappresentanti della Chiesa, a sinistra i padri fondatori dell’Unità d’Italia. Alcune opere furono commissionate dai discendenti di Alessandro Rossi.&#13;
Sottoposti a restauro negli anni scorsi, i busti furono trasferiti dall’asilo e non vi hanno fatto finora ritorno, a causa dell’incendio che colpì l’edificio la notte del 2 febbraio 2009. Tutti i busti sono realizzati in marmo di Carrara.</text>

                <text>Leogra / Posina / Astico: Esplorare i dintorni Siamo partiti il 29 aprile dalla frazione di Sant’Antonio di Valli del Pasubio e, dopo aver affrontato lo scavalco del passo Xomo, abbiamo percorso la Val di Posina e la Val d’Astico, attraversato le colline delle Bregonze per approdare infine il 3 maggio a Zugliano. Quell'anno abbiamo scelto come compagno di viaggio il poeta Andrea Zanzotto che con i suoi versi e le sue riflessioni ci ha guidato dentro e dietro il paesaggio, in quelle zone di contatto tra paesaggi naturali e paesaggi dell’uomo che Enio Sartori definisce territori-soglia, aree di scambio capaci di esprimere relazioni intense, di tenere insieme, di ritessere. Sono stati 5 giorni di cammino davvero intensi, tra progetti di cartografia emozionale, danze e musiche popolari, emergenze ambientali e narrazioni sul lavoro.
