                <text>La console con specchiera firmata “G.B.Viero Nove di Bassano” con il marchio di una corona imperiale comprende 38 parti ceramiche modellate in terracotta giallina, smaltate e decorate in policromia. La cornice modellata a motivi rocaille, presenta due medaglioni principali con scene tratte dalla pittura di Giambattista Tiepolo, e sei medaglioni intermedi con scene campestri e putti giocosi. Tutte le parti in ceramica sono fissate al supporto in legno con perni e viti a scomparsa. La console mistilinea in noce è sorretta da quattro piedi a zoccolo di cavallo, con rinforzo a crociera, e risulta completamente rivestita in ceramica. Il piano della console, realizzato ad intarsi di mattonelle dipinte, sostiene due basamenti plastici variamente modellati e decorati a tralci di vite e fiori, su cui poggiano due figure a tuttotondo di Mori, elegantemente rivestite e ornate con copricapo e gioielli e che presentano vassoi in ceramica. La doratura risulta applicata a freddo con colori organici e polvere d’oro. La preziosa opera fu realizzato presso la celebre manifattura dei Viero, a Nove, all’epoca della gestione di Giovanni Battista Viero, e risulta, secondo un documento manoscritto, presente prima del 1883 e sino a quella data presso il Castello Reale di Capodimonte. Fu poi presentata all’Esposizione Universale di Torino al Castello del Valentino nel 1884. Nell’ovale della riserva posta all’apice della specchiera è rappresentata la scena con Armida rapisce Rinaldo dormiente dall’affresco omonimo realizzato nel 1757 ca. da Giambattista Tiepolo in Villa Valmarana ai Nani a Vicenza, su commissione del conte Giustino Valmarana nella Sala della Gerusalemme liberata; è tratta dallo stesso ciclo e dalla medesima Sala la scena dipinta entro la riserva al centro della base della specchiera, che rappresenta Rinaldo si vergogna del suo passato. Nelle riserve di dimensioni inferiori presenti lungo la cornice della specchiera e sul bordo esterno della console, sono dipinti numerosi putti giocosi, tratti anch’essi verosimilmente dai dipinti di Giambattista Tiepolo. Mascheroni dall’espressione ironica compaiono agli estremi in basso nella Specchiera e nei quattro spigoli aggettanti della Console. Al centro della crociera della Console è collocato un Amorino alato che trattiene una colomba, solitamente dipinta dal Tiepolo a trainare il Carro d’amore su cui è assisa Venere.  </text>
